Dear MSNBC, here is a suggestion for a sure-fire hit show: "Support the Troops?"
Here's the premise .... you do stories about how ill-treated our military personnel have been under this president and this administration. Do stories about Walter Reed. Do stories like the one Olbermann told just tonight, the one about the sole survivor (lost two brothers while all three were serving in that middle eastern shit hole) being denied health care for his pregnant wife and asked to repay his enlistment bonus; or the one about the disabled guy being ordered to Ft Benning for redeployment. Humanize these stories.

You could do this as a show unto itself or as a series within another show. But give the stories some real, in-depth coverage. Let America get to know these people.

You may not have the guts to show coffins, but have the decency to show these guys who would otherwise get screwed in anonymity.

Tell their stories.

As a host, have someone with real creds in this area.

Max Cleland would be terrific. But if you want currency, maybe John Soltz or Paul Rieckhoff.

This one's a winner, MSNBC. If you want to be seen as the left-leaning alternative on cable, this is one way to help get you there.

Say "Thank you, Stinky."
