Strange thought today about Princess Di and Mother Theresa
it came out of the blue. I know it was years ago that the world lost these two souls but the world lost them so suddenly and their deaths were so close in time. I was wondering what that does to the planetary balance, to the balance of things here on Earth (okay, not literally) to lost two powerful and good souls so quickly. It reminded me of when two people are on a see-saw, um, a teeter-totter, you know, like when you are a child and one of the persons gets off suddenly and throws the other off. Could that happen in a cosmic sense? In an abstract way? I am not really sure why this thought was there today exactly...I think I was thinking about the evil seeming to prevail in our world as of late and then wondered about this concept.

I know it isn't political per se but maybe it could be a diversion from the my candidate of choice beats your candidate of choice debates.

Princess Diana died August 31, 1997
Mother Theresa died September 5, 1997
May they rest in peace.

2. Interesting thought.
I was moved deeply by both deaths and it seemed almost cruel that they were 5 days apart. I took it to mean that the universe was really trying to give us a message but I could never figure out what it was exactly. Your idea does make a lot of sense!

9. I was moved too and very disturbed that they were back to back
in time. I am glad this made some sense. I wonder what the message was. It is interesting that they died in 1997 and in 2000 evil seemed to rise up and then continue rising.

Just a thought.

3. You assume quite a lot there
Please consider that everything you know about these two people was provided to you via the media; and that these women had a hand in crafting those media images. Also please consider that there are many other "great souls" that you have never heard of - and so I ask you have *those* deaths affected the planetary balance (whatever that is?) in a way that you would notice?

10. I understand about the media. I agree there are many, many
great souls that I never meet or hear about but I don't think it negates the greatness of these two (IMHO).

As to whether these deaths also have an effect? I don't know. I am sure they do.

12. True ... and yet ... there is something fascinating about the
phenonema of fame. Why some rise to our attention while parallel souls are unknown. I think there is something there about resonating or vibrating through hard eye vision while the unseen is resonating and vibrating and affecting us equally, though not in words or images that we can share in the way we share the Princess and the Nun?

Funny, I just wrote down the name of a book that I want to look at - The Golden Door - Life of Katherine Drexel. 'American woman who devoted her life and fortune to Indian and Negro Races'. I think I heard her story on a Christian Scientist Monitor report through NPR a long time ago - not exactly a household name, but affecting us still in that unrecognized way?

8. And yet the mourning was for Diana.
Teresa? Yeah, she's dead. Barely noticed. Nobody sought every place Teresa had walked or touched and made a shrine of it. But Diana...Everywhere she had been became sacred. Maybe that's the difference between a saint and a goddess.

7. I think there is some perspective to be gained thinking of these
two figures--both very human but both dedicated to bringing whatever good they could to the world in the course of their lives. Yet, both were attacked by a very cynical press at various points in their lives for these same deeds..... hmmmm....

11. My Dad died a few days after Diana and a few days before Teresa...
People die every day. It's a part of life. Change is constant.

Nothing more than that.
