14 minute of Colbert has been infinitely more informative and entertaining
than anything I've seen this election cycle.

God bless you Steven Colbert (and John Edwards - he was HILARIOUS)

3. That is actually...
...the real reason they didn't want him to run.

Remember his campaign?

In one segment, he was able to show the one of the biggest differences between a GOP candidate and a Democratic candidate: cost.

The GOP-controlled media could not have him doing that the entire year.

Can you image what he could have exposed?

8. on the flip side
... I rarely watch tv news anymore. occasionally turn it on to see if there's some disaster I should know about. but for some reason I found myself awake at 4 am and turned on CNN. Lou Dobbs was on.

He had some white guy on his show who was talking about how Obama "likes people who hate this country." I couldn't believe that CNN had such a stupid p.o.s. "commentator" who is, apparently, paid good money to talk trash like this. But the guy is right, at least for me. I don't support the weather underground or sds or any other sort of group, but I have become someone who hates this country... if that guy and Bush and the neocons are supposed to be what passes for this country.

the thing is.... Colbert and Stewart represent the demographic that represents the future of this nation. Those ppl know that the hysteria-hoping-to-foment stupid white guys like the one on CNN are the joke, not the Daily Show or Colbert Report. CNN seems to have captured the stuck in the 1950s pathological hysteria over anyone who is not a John Bircher demographic. something to be proud of, CNN.... :eyes:

9. That's an astute observtaion. I is truly indicative of the old white power class
trying desperately to prevent the world from evolving.

10. I teared up too. There were tears of sadness that John Edwards
was so marginalized by MSM, and that he should be our candidate, and the tears simultaneously flowing from laughter at Ed Words!!!!! He was positively fantastic!!!!!

I love you John!!!!!!

Wanting to be a spy in an area where he could do high speed jetski chases!!!!

11. His bit was truly funny and expertly delivered. I was joyed and saddened
by the fact that a late night comedy show had the best showcasing of Democratic candidates than any other "news" show.
