Has anyone contemplated the sh!tstorm that will hit if a hurricane tears through the Gulf again and further damages oil production?

Keep your powder dry and your gun well-oiled....

1. Yeah, enough damage to the platforms in the Gulf
and maybe Stupid won't have to bomb Iran.

Nah, that scumbucket wants to stick a Democrat with as many unwinnable wars as he can.

2. They will start raising the prices as soon as one forms off the
coast of Africa, we've seen that before.

3. Hurricane forecast: Above average season
floridatoday.com:

Despite two consecutive years of missing the mark, a research team at Colorado State University again foresees an above average hurricane season for 2008.

William Gray’s team expects 13 named storms, seven of them hurricanes — and three of those Category 3 or greater. Category 3 on the Saffir/Simpson scale is a storm with sustained winds of 111 mph or greater.

In the just-concluded 2007 season, there were 14 named storms, six of them hurricanes and two of Category 3 or greater.

The Atlantic basin hurricane season runs June 1 and Nov. 30.

“Despite fairly inactive 2006 and 2007 hurricane seasons, we believe that the Atlantic basin is still in an active hurricane cycle,” Gray said in a prepared statement. “This active cycle is expected to continue at least for another decade or two.”

4. I've been through several
I've always stayed and rode it out just to see what happened. Not anymore. I'm going to run away like a chicken if one heads my way this year.

5. It only takes one
Katrina gave us a spike in gas prices that shocked Americans. Now we long for the days when they were that LOW.

6. So is financial reporting season for the BIG OIL companies
I am guessing that they will have obscene profits and will endure a mild storm of politicians drivel.
