6. My daughter said the same thing.
"Stay off Facebook Dad".

So I did. Funny but I don't feel left out either. My social group is in person. Maybe I'm just too old to understand?

no interest when she was on myspace.

but if du can pick up a few more duers from facebook--then that's great. i guess.

18. What???
Now, my momma would feel perfectly, smugly comfortable saying something like that to me, but God have mercy on my soul if I ever said it to her.

4. There sure is!
Anybody who crows about a dream ticket with the two of them on it needs to look very carefully at that photo.

As for Facebook, forget it. I'm an old broad and content to leave it to the kids.

7. I'm with you, Warpy.
But maybe we could do our own Facebook thing.

Maybe start some kind of cult.

I already have a HUUUUUUGE following on a site which shall remain unnamed.

You could be the logical, informed character.

And I could be the loose cannon.

Tom

13. Ha! Me?
Let the kiddies come here if we get the act going.

However, there's absolutely no room for logic in a successful cult. We might want to rethink that part.

8. I agree that a combined ticket is unlikely.
But stranger things have happened. Reagan-Bush for example.

15. I don't do the myspace thing...
I think is a meat market. I ain't that young tho, the reason I went to Facebook is because members of my High School class created a group there. They are planning a reunion for next Summer (Class 1998) and is really the SOLE purpose I'm in Facebook. It was great seen some of my friends now after 20 years.

21. There's the music thing as well for MySpace
Edited on Sat Apr-19-08 03:53 AM by Thankfully_in_Britai
Just about every local band I know is active on MySpace, using it to promote their music and gigs.

Fortunately for me the ones I follow are also active on Facebook.

As to politics, Facebook is actually quite popular with party activists in my experience as they can use it to get people interested and to reach out to people for whatever cause they are espousing. The best example of this that I've found has been the "Support the Monk's Protest in Burma" group

16. Just posted two songs, "Don't Fall in Love with a Cow" and "I Come Undone"
Only your "friends" have access, of course!
Everyone sees your public profile.
Your friends see what you are up to, share photos, songs, videos, web links, more.
Discussion groups there too, but your friends see where you post there.

17. My cousin wanted me to be his "friend" on MySpace.
They insisted I join. Now I am completely confused and I STILL haven't found my cousin's page even tho he gave me a link. I try to keep up. I even made my first playlist this year. But it all keeps running ahead of me.

I still haven't read the instruction book for my cell phone.
