McCain's history of sexual indiscretions grows larger and ABC News must ask him to explain
Edited on Sat Apr-19-08 01:59 AM by usregimechange
In case the GOP really wants to play guild by association...

Senator McCain, who cheated on his first wife and may have had a recent affair with a lobbyist, is involved in another case of sexual impropriety. McCain's FL Co-Chair who was arrested after offering oral sex for $20, blamed fear of "a pretty stocky black guy" and "other black guys around in the park" for his sexual solicitation.

Details of each sexual scandal below:

McCain Florida Co-chair public sex scandal

Titusville, Florida - An audiotape reveals new details about the arrest of a state lawmaker in the men's room of a public park. Investigators say State Representative Bob Allen offered an undercover officer 20 dollars, if he could perform oral sex on him. The Merritt Island Republican says its all a big misunderstanding.

In an audiotaped interview with Titusville Police, Allen says he was intimidated after a man offered a sex act for money. He says he went along with the conversation, because he was afraid of becoming another crime statistic.

On the audiotape, Allen said, "Listen. A public park. I got my name on the damn building. I'm not gonna do that. You know, maybe I said it in the wrong order, but this was a pretty stocky black guy, and there were a lot of other black guys around in the park, and, you know..."

Titusville Assistant Chief John Lau said, "If you were nervous, then how come you went back into the stall? Not in the stall, the bathroom?"

Allen responded, "I went back the second time around because >>unintelligible<< I says, 'I gotta use the bathroom.' But, I said, 'The building is safer than standing out here,' so I went back in, and sat down, and that's when he came back the second time, and that made me very nervous."

What is the current status of McCain's relationship with Allen? Does McCain believe he is innocent? Does this bring into question McCain's judgment, given his age, in the character of those he might select for administration positions or the Supreme Court? ABC News needs to ask him at the next debate.

McCain cheating on his wife

But McCain was making bold career moves on the home front, hotly pursuing a 25-year-old blond from a wealthy Arizona family -- while married. Carol, his wife at the time, had once been quite a babe herself apparently, until a near-fatal car accident (while her husband was in Vietnam) left her 4 inches shorter, overweight and on crutches...

McCain's strategy worked perfectly: After chasing Cindy Hensley around the country for six months, he closed the deal late in the year, had a divorce by February and was married to Hensley shortly thereafter. Bingo! McCain was a candidate for Congress by early 1982, his coffers full, his home in the proper Arizona district purchased.

The story is compelling -- and repellent -- for a lot of reasons. And it raises some familiar questions. We have to wonder why Americans are able to excoriate a presidential candidate (or president) who cheats on his wife but accept one who did the same thing with the concentration and energy of a military strategist. Is it because McCain didn't get caught? Is it because he married his mistress?

Does McCain believe cheating on his wife is moral? Was this the only time he has been unfaithful? Did his mistress know he was married? ABC News?

McCain's affair with a lobbyist

WASHINGTON — Early in Senator John McCain’s first run for the White House eight years ago, waves of anxiety swept through his small circle of advisers.

A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, visiting his offices and accompanying him on a client’s corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself — instructing staff members to block the woman’s access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.

When news organizations reported that Mr. McCain had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyist’s client, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement.

Mr. McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship. But to his advisers, even the appearance of a close bond with a lobbyist whose clients often had business before the Senate committee Mr. McCain led threatened the story of redemption and rectitude that defined his political identity.

Anyone else see a pattern here? Well, I don't but I want to encourage the Sean Hannity - ABC News cooperative to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.

16. McCain's relationship to BJ Bob is very clear, as far as I'm concerned.
Allen is his Florida co-chair, and obviously close to McCain.

Are you suggesting that their relationship is romantic?

10. Didn't he leave his wife while she had cancer?
That alone would make for a great story, but don't expect to media to see it that way.

17. This si one of the "character issues" which ABC News says is "central" to the campaign
I mean it'd be HYPOCRITICAL for them not to ask him deep probing questions about that, Rev. hagee's words, and why his official photo lacks a lapel pin. We must get to the bottom of each of these burning issues, and then when we have time we can move on to flag burning.
