Anyone listen to Alex Bennet on "Sirius Left"?

I only catch 25 minutes of him on my morning commute and find him somewhat interesting. His micro-history lessons are enlightening and I enjoy his irreverent sense of humor.
How does he do for the rest of his broadcast?

1. I listened to him when I was in HS in the 1970s.

He transplanted at some point from NYC to the SF area. I thought he was *superb* back then... for the reasons you mentioned. Good feel for the medium's ( radio) potential to enlighten by entertaining.

Lots of lefty radio jocks don't get this. Most RWers do. ( Limbaugh... spit on the floor... is a *master* at this.)

Glad to know Alex hasn't changed much.

2. I don't care for Alex B..... sometimes he's nasty..

sure he's intelligent, but he rants on everything,
and sometimes comes off a bit condescending to women.

But if you like him, help yourself.

3. He has no use for Obama

apparently because some caller keeps feeding him negative info, half-truths & memes. He's a curmudgeon whom people assume is left-leaning, but he spends as much time (probably more) putting down Democrats as he does supporting them. He strikes me as much less interested in the facts & more interested in reinforcing his hardened opinions. When he comes on the radio, I switch the channel.

Maybe you caught him on a good day & I just keep catching him on all his bad days.
