2. Why not come to that conclusion before electing them? A nanosecond

of thinking could have save many years of pain and turmoil.

Thereby making YOUR ability to influence the things that effect YOUR life nonexistent. Taking that power away from the govt doesn't mean it will devolve to the individual, far from it. That power will be accumulated by corporations & oligarchs - people & institutions you have no control over BY DESIGN.
