What the hell is wrong with the weather?
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 07:26 AM by Texas Explorer
Snow and record cold in Oregon and Washington, and cold as a well digger's ass in Montana - in Montana. Hot as hell in Texas and in practically the whole rest of the country. Down here in Texas, we're used to it still being cool and mild with at least one ice storm in April, which happened last year and the year before and the year before. But yesterday I was sweatin' my ass off just taking my walk.

WTF?

2. don't worry...according to the flat-earthers...you are not involved in any way with the weather...
other than there is nothing you can do about it...there is nothing you are doing that might contribute to any aspect of weather or climate...

it is just a cycle, you see....

yeah, all the crap we put in the air, the water, the ground...it is just a cycle...

11. yeah, since the Earth is only 10000 years old or so
and you can see, over the millions of years, that there have been many of these cycles ...

10. No. Not this late. Or at least very, very rarely.
I've lived in Oregon or Washington my entire life. In Oregon, is generally isn't this cold - rainy, yes, cold, not so much. A cold snap like what happened this past weekend is unusual. I feel for all of the owners of orchards up in Hood River Valley.

7. It is called global climate change, and yes: global warming is the problem
Even for the record cold and snow.

You might want to look that Kim Stanley Robinson's trilogy, Forty Inches of Rain, Fifty Degrees Below and Sixty Days And Counting for a good (if fictionalized) account of how global warming is likely to cause (and is now causing) wild swings of extreme weather.

13. Just south of Ft Worth. And no matter how often it
happens, which is quite often as to be the norm, we never cease to be awed by a sudden snowfall or ice storm here in April. But although we've had some cool mornings and overcast days, and one major squall, it's been like May here, as if the climate moved back a month or two. At this rate, May is going to be brutal - that is of course unless GW has something else in store.

the jet streams are moving north which means the southern parts of america will receive less rainfall. up here in the northern midwest-west we will receive more rainfall.
