A Green Bay-based online gun dealer linked to deadly shooting rampages on two college campuses today announced he’ll sell guns at cost for two weeks in an effort to arm citizens and prevent future tragedies.

Eric Thompson said his company TGSCOM will offer guns to customers April 23 through May 7 for the same price he pays for them. That could mean a savings of $100 on a $500 gun purchase, he said.

Thompson’s company sold a gun to Seung-Hui Cho, who killed 32 people and injured 17 others at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007, before killing himself.

His company also sold ammunition magazines and a holster to Steven Kazmierczak, who killed five and wounded 18 others before taking his own life on Feb. 14 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill.

2. Well what with all the squirreling away of food going on, and limits on rice imposed at SAMs club,
I still don't think I'll buy me a gun.

4. Excellent! I feel like a real man with cold steel in my hands.
Even if the odds are astronomically greater that a family member will die before I will ever "defend" myself with it.

Kids, Don't touch my gun. Promise?

7. Proud of himself, isn't he?

One would think that anyone who contributed to the deaths and injuries involved in the two killing sprees mentioned would be desperately ashamed, but we're talking about gun fetishists, aren't we?

8. I think there is a lot of misunderstanding about the process of selling a gun interstate
A dealer is not responsible for checking the background of an out-of-state buyer. That is the job of the dealer from whom the buyer actually takes possession of the gun.

A dealer in Wisconsin cannot transfer a gun directly to a buyer in Virginia. He or she must transfer the gun to another type 01 Federal Firearms License holder in the buyer's state.

9. "Protect yourself from my other customers" is a rather odd sales pitch.
It's like a Hummer dealer saying that people should buy their product because in an accident people in smaller cars are endangered by SUV drivers.

10. I know someone who needs to buy a gun -- thanks for the tip.

Its funny how the paper is giving him free advertising. Even all the DUer's who are anti-gun or anti-RKBA can't help but kick this thread to the top for more people to read and increasing the chances of the dealer making another sale.

chagrin.
