GLENS FALLS — When Ralph Nader last visited Glens Falls in 2005, gasoline prices were rising, Americans were uneasy about the Iraq war and, from his point of view, the candidates who had run for president catered to corporate interests.
Nader has the same concerns today.
"This is a country that has more problems than it deserves and more solutions than it applies," Nader said in a telephone interview this week. "That’s what I call the democracy gap."
The independent candidate for president will speak Saturday at the Charles R. Wood Theater to rail against white-collar crime, the Bush administration and the conflicts in the Middle East.
He’ll also push for a single-payer health care plan and a carbon tax.
