American "Family" readers comment, torture is OK! ("God condoned whole cities being destroyed!")

The article which these comments answer bemoans the fact that the ACLU is calling for "an independent counsel to investigate the administration's approval of torture and abuse." Mind you, only calling for an independent investigation. And the readers instantly go bananas. You can practically see the drool flying:

Sorry for sounding so coarse, but I just don't have any more patience when I hear this kind of stuff.

They don't know what socialism is, they don't know what communism is, the don't know what the ACLU tries to do, and they sure as hell don't know a thing about Christianity or the bible. They don't know how to think. They're just suckers for the right wing blowhards who tell them what to think. They think the Hannity's, Bush's, and Limbaugh's of the world are diligently looking out for the good of the American people.

They are told to take a stand and vote against their own self-interests, and that is exactly what these sheep will do. Every single time. It's infuriating. And it's very discouraging to realize there are millions and millions of them all over the place.

I wish there was still a New World left to be discovered.

I think they do more damage to Christianity than all the anti-religious combined. Enemy isn't quite right, more like a cancerous growth. They're like a cancer in the body.
