Rush Limbaugh : The new face of Fascism

(Denver : Colorado) Ucs News--

Following Rush Limbaugh's broadcast calling for violent riots in Denver, city officials issue a warrant for his arrest.
Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper called Limbaugh a "dangerous domestic terrorist" that should be locked up.

No stranger to controversy talk show host Rush Limbaugh made comments calling for riots in Denver during the Democratic National Convention this summer. As part of his "Operation Chaos" Limbaugh is expecting Republican rioters to burn cars, burn houses and kill children.

"Riots in Denver, the Democrat Convention would see to it that we don't elect Democrats," Limbaugh said during Wednesday's radio broadcast. He then went on to say that's the best thing that could happen to the country.

John Hickenlooper disagrees with Limbaugh, "I don't see how a group of GOP thugs wrecking Denver and injuring our citizens aids the democratic processes of the nation." Hickenlooper went on to demand an apology from Limbaugh and stated that
"If Limbaugh and any of his brown shirted thugs come to Denver they will be arrested."

http://www.denverpost.com/ci_9057199">Sen. Salazar: Reprimand Rush
04/26/2008 02:39:10 AM MDT

U.S. Senator Ken Salazar has asked today that the owner of 850 KOA "reprimand" Rush Limbaugh
for what Salazar calls Limbaugh's "clear exhortation" for riots during the Democratic National
Convention in Denver.

But Salazar, in a letter sent today to Clear Channel Radio, the owner of KOA,
characterized Limbaugh's comments as "incendiary." "As I read Mr. Limbaugh's comments
about riots at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, they appear to me to be
a clear exhortation that those riots are exactly what he wants to happen," said Salazar.
"For that kind of incendiary comment, I ask Clear Channel to reprimand Mr. Limbaugh."

Kris Olinger, director of AM programming for Clear Channel Denver, said that Limbaugh is
syndicated by Premiere Radio Network , the syndication arm of Clear Channel. "We passed the
letter along to Premiere," said Olinger. "They obviously are going to take Senator Salazar's
comments and consider them."

9. Anyone hear about the 1968 Revisited group that Randi Rhodes caller talked about?
The caller said that there was a group that had formed years before that was going to use the City Parks during the convention and had all ready set up permits to do so. They were called something like 1968 Revisited - for those that don't know that was the year that the Democratic Convention had riots.

Chicago '68

They called it "Czechago." Nowhere else during that decade was dissension so dramatically opposed as on the streets of Chicago during the turbulent Democratic National Convention in August 1968. The barbed wire-laced jeeps in Grant Park evoked images of Russian tanks in the streets of Prague.

For many it was a watershed event. After the Tet offensive that January many Americans began to shift their opinions of the war in Vietnam; after Chicago '68 they began to doubt the ability of American institutions to tolerate active dissension.

Chicago '68 was more than just another in a series of antiwar protests, and it was more than just a riot—no matter, whose riot. Chicago '68 was a focal point of the decade. On the streets and in the parks of Chicago the social conflicts of the Sixties were on display.

Heads were cracked, tear gas billowed, police lines advanced through demonstrators—and television cameras captured some of the graphic scenes. The eyes of the nation focused on Chicago and we decided who we were, what side we were on, and what we would fight for. Chicago changed minds, Chicago changed politics, Chicago changed the Left, Chicago changed the media, Chicago changed those who were here and those who watched from far away, and Chicago changed Chicago.

What happened in Chicago in August of 1968 changed our political and cultural institutions, and so it shaped our current political and cultural life. If we understand Chicago '68 we will understand not only a major event in our history but we will also better understand who we are now.

Re-create 68, Operation Chaos, and Rush Limbaugh

http://wwwwakeupamericans-spree.blogspot.com/2008/04/re-create-68-operation-chaos-and-rush.html

There are not many people that Democratic supporters despise quite as much as they do Rush Limbaugh. He has been often criticized for his outrageous statements. He has done it again by saying, "I'm dreaming of riots in Denver."

Not long ago, I remember reading about an organization called Re-create 68, which is a group of people that want to protest at the Democratic convention that will be held on August 24-28, 2008, in Denver Colorado.

The significance of the Re-create 68 name, is that it refers to the Democratic convention of 1968, held in Chicago, Illinois, and which was rife with such protests from Democratic supporters and police actions, that as television cameras filmed, over 100 police officers and 100 demonstrators were injured and over 500 people arrested.

Outside the official convention proceedings, anti-war demonstrators clashed with 11,900 Chicago police, 7500 Army troops, 7500 Illinois National Guardsmen and 1000 Secret Service agents over 5 days.

The Re-Create 68 site has a page they call street tactics with helpful hints for those that want to participate in protesting the August Democratic Convention. These tactics cover with PDF files, direct action vs voting, planning direct actions, an action planning manual, scouting manual, questions about civil disobedience, a video camera training manual, shields, walls and other useful tricks and wheat pasting.

This site, by its very name and stated intent is to re-create an event that was one of the most violent Democratic protest with party supporters protesting Democratic politicians, and yet the site, their goal and their intentions have gone largely ignored.

...........

It goes on to talk about Rush Limbaugh and his significants into this issue.

Here is the Recreate 68 website link:

Well here is a headline right before our eyes! I hope someone will look into this more and get the light of day on the issue so no one is harmed at the Convention! It is such a terrible message that Rush is spewing out and it should be stopped NOW! I alerted Media Matters and the FCC on it like many others have. Now we'll see if it goes any further!

32. Yeah, jeez, an actual reprimand...
I wonder how long it took for his hands to stop shaking and his jaw to hold still long enough to utter the word without stuttering.

Kind of like Pelosi's and Reid's infamous strongly worded letters expressing their "deep disappointment" and labeling any of the hundreds of random Bushian outrages "unfortunate" and "inappropriate" and -- WOW! -- "motivated by partisan politics."

Ooooooooooooooo...

You can almost hear the knees knocking in the white house situation room as they slowly and reluctantly open the letter, scared half to death of what they'll find inside, and then gasp with relief as they see it's just another note from Harry and Nancy, nothing worth taking seriously.

Then they open that keg of 23-year-old single malt and begin drinking themselves into their usual afternoon stupors. By the third shot, they're draped over the chairs or rolling on the floor, giggling and sputtering and roaring and back-slapping, as they see once again how completely out of ammo Nancy and Harry must be if all they can come up with is this kind of stupid, toothless shit that goes straight into the shredder and concerns exactly nobody.

Same as it ever was, though it's gotten a bit stale and predictable by now.

25. Interesting Cheap Channel Buck Passing...
So the so-called "Program Director" of KOA passes the buck to Rushbo's syndicator (Premier) that happens to be owned by...ahem...Cheap Channel. How convenient. No comment from the station manager...the man who can suspend or cancel the show. Nor any follow-up from even a PR person at Premeier...I guess their number was unlisted. Very easy stenography...that allows the venom to leak and then the shoulders get shrugged. It also insulates the station from those screaming about the FCC (who is still under the ruinous reign of Kevin Martin) as it's not the station that's responsible for what goes out its transmitter...but the syndicator...and, they of course, aren't under any real FCC jurisdiction...so people can go pound sand either way.

Rushbo has gotten what he's wanted, again...Attention. Some of it for his own purposes...its when Rushbo gets attacked (after he opens his drug-addled brainstem) his ratings go up, his staunch corp of advertisers and supporters rally around him and KOA and other Cheap Channel stations cry all the way to the bank.

If Senator Salazar really wanted to get Cheap Channel's attention, he could push a bill on the Senate floor and push for the immediate repeal of Telcom '96 and the recent dereg bills that would force Cheap Channel to divest of some of its stations...many that carry Rushbo...and that would drop the floor out on their financial stranglehold on the medium and open the door for local and diversified ownership. But it was better just to say "shame shame" and let Rushbo get his little 15 minutes...again.

Sedition is a term of law which refers to covert conduct, such as speech and organization, that is deemed by the legal authority as tending toward insurrection against the established order.
