Howard Dean and Al Gore have also spoken out in favor of single payer healthcare. So I am cautiously optimistic about the future of this issue. But I don't think a bill that calls for 1 trillion in tax hikes (even though it'll result in 1.4 trillion in private saving) will be feasable for the next 10 years or so.

Still, this is good news and almost half of all the democrat congresspeople.
