Poll question: Does anyone truly think Limbaugh will pay for his "riot" comment?
As we all know, Limbaugh said recently that he'd like to see "rioting in Denver", and later tried a weak retraction saying that he only "dreamed of rioting in Denver". So what I want to know is if, in the opinion of DU, he will be made to pay either a HUGE fine or loss of his program by declining ratings or outright cancellation or maybe even (dare we dream) by prosecution.

2. I say...
let people like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter talk. Every time the both of them talk, they just tell people (well at least the logical ones!) :eyes: how crazy they truly are!

4. Not while BushCo reigns.

BushCo owns the courts and they own the FCC as well. OxyRush is their chief propagandist.

It just won't happen till at least early 2009.

5. He would only if he was a Democrat or supported Democrats
Since he isn't and doesn't support a Democrat he can say anything he wants.

6. Nothing happens to him UNLESS...
there really are riots in Denver. His speech is still pretty much protected so far and there aren't enough significant protests to get him off the air. He owns his syndication operation, and damn sure won't fire himself, so it would be up to individual stations to drop him.

Remember those anti-abortion sites that claimed killing abortion doctors was "self-defense"? Nobody did anything until some nutjobs started killing abortion doctors. Then all hell broke loose and some people learned some very hard lessons about the 1st Amendment. We shouldn't wish for riots in Denver, but if they happen we can heap a large part of the blame on Pigboy.
