Saving America
It seems to me the two most important things we need to do to save America is to abolish NAFTA and abolish off-shore tax havens (as well as making it less profitable to outsource jobs).

Re-establish a "pay-as you go" budget, regulating gas pricing, and regulating healthcare costs are not far behind.

HAve we heard one candidate address any of these issues? Neither of our candidates will pass any legislation to address these problems, and if they try, congress will not support them. That is a sad truth. We need a national house cleaning in both houses of congress and the supreme court. You no why we can't do it? One of them makes the laws, and the other upholds them.

1. And the one thing that needs to be nixed right off the top is this so called...
Texas Super Highway and the idea of a North American Union ie: Canada, US and Mexico joining forces.

3. You got that right!
The North American Union is simply a way to lower wages, break unions, and form a government where the elite from those three countries will run things. The rich will get richer, and the poor will get poorer!

2. I totally agree
We do need a "house cleaning" in congress and the supreme court. Right now corporate America runs this country. What is good for the "people" gets set aside, while what is good for the big corporations is put into law!

As far as NAFTA, or any "free" trade deals go, they should be changed to "fair" trade agreements, that "REALLY" benefit both sides, and not just the corporations, but the people who have suffered in all of the "free" trade agreements. Once again corporate American has been doing great, while the people in the U.S. and in the countries like Mexico, South American, China and many others have suffered.

Now I also agree that we need to do away with off shore tax havens, and go after those who have been avoiding taxes by using them. We also need to regulate the things that we need to survive, which includes gas and food. Riche investors are causing the price of these things to go sky high so they can get back some of the billions they lost in the housing crisis, and something needs to be done to stop this, and we can't wait to do something.

The place to start is the house cleaning idea you mentioned. Get rid of the corporate shills on both sides of the isle, and get people in congress that will do something, not just talk about it, and then hold out their hands to the corporations and lobbyists for more money!
