The Rev Wright is enjoying the spotlight a little too much
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 11:09 PM by redstateblues
Apart from anything he says, he has a huge ego- he wants to stay in the spotlight and sell a shitload of books. It's always about the money. It's his chance to grab the brass ring. Sucks really- it's beginning to take a real toll on Obama's image. I wish the Rev. would go away.

3. So why would you blame this on Rev. Wright? He has no connection to Barack..
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 11:15 PM by LakeSamish706
other than being his former Pastor... If Doctor Rev. Wright wants to be front and center at this time, that is his proactive and he is free to strut his stuff any way he wants to.

Edited to say:

If Barack were to lose this election based on what Doctor Rev. Wright does or says then this country has a bigger problem than Rev. Wright or Barack Obama.

5. Rev. Wright has no connection to Barack, but Barack has a connection
to HIM! Barack said that himself. Remember the comparrison to his grandmother?

If you are foolish enough to thing this Country DOESN'T have a problem bigger than those two men, then I think YOU are living in some dream world! There are LOTS of problems, and racism and denial of reality has and still is rampant in the US. We may not like it, but we also have to face reality.

Keep your eyes on the Prize! We MUST have a Dem in the WH in 2009! I happen to think the good Rev. should back off for now and HELP his friend and part of his church flock. He has National recognition now, so he can sell his book NEXT YEAR!

4. Good for him
Jeremiah Wright is the proverbial double-edged sword. He makes sane people crazy, and can be fairly described that way himself. He's kind of the "wild wisdom guru" of evangelical Christianity.

It's also a hoot to see some of the Obama supporters work overtime to spin his presence after all their philippics against HRC. Wright is what and who he is, and I'm fine with that. Then again, my support for Hillary is not based on animosity toward Obama, and my perception of Wright is not based on Barack Obama, either.

Rev. Wright bullshit. I'm for the Dem nominee and wish the Rev would fade into the sunset and shut his big mouth!!!

8. He Doesn't Get A Spotlight The Corporate Media Doesn't Want To Shine On Him
Look how little scrutiny the corporates have given right wingnut preachers like Hagee or Dobson or any of the many other nutjob preachers Gramps has pandered to. That's cause Reverend Wright serves the corporate media agenda right now to divide and exploit. No matter what Wright says or does, he has a target on his head firmly planted by the corporate media and no matter what he says or does, it will be amplified. So, if he hides like a mouse, then he's surely wrong and the corporate media is right. I, for one, am glad he spoke truth to power and hope he continues to do so.

This is just a taste of the bloodsport the corporate media has in store...as fed to them by the GOOP operatives that any Democratic candidate will have to deal with this year. Ya think they don't have a shitload of stuff on Hillary on hold in hopes they can pile it on during the GE? Or that if Wright goes away, the wingnut attacks on Obama will end? Reverend Wright has given the right wing carte blanche to put their racism on display...and, yes it's damn ugly. Either you can hope it goes away or call them out on it. Taking our country back means fighting...not running from these type of attacks.

13. Lie Coverage Is Spot On
Ya knew the script had already been written...Sanchez had nothing but loaded questions and you could see the Producers salivating at the sound bites. Damn straight they have an agenda here...and we need to keep pointing it out!

Sanchez was waiting for the talking points and didn't know which way to spin the story. Soledad confused him even further.
