Jesus Sign Torn Up, Crowd Cheers

The Goodwill Media Project blog has posted an entry today about a small, unreported by the media event at a parade in downtown Raleigh, NC over the weekend. A link to video of the incident is posted as well.

The parade was billed as a "Support the Troops" event. Apparently there is only one way to support them, and that way has nothing to do with attempting to preserve their lives by removing them from dangerous situations not of their own making nor by spreading the word of one of history's greatest peacemakers.

The irony, of course, is that this happened in a part of the country where religion is taken very seriously. Well, certain pick-and-choose parts of someone's religion, I suppose.
