Former KBR employees say workers stole from Iraq, ‘melted down gold to make spurs.’»

Yesterday, two former employees of embattled contract company KBR told a congressional panel that some of their coworkers frequently stole money and artwork from Iraq. One said that “some of her American colleagues doing construction work in Iraqi palaces and municipal buildings took woodcarvings, tapestries and crystal ‘and even melted down gold to make spurs for cowboy boots.’” Another said that “a KBR foreman tried to take military equipment, including two rocket launchers, detonators and ammunition.” Two weeks ago, the firm was awarded a $150 million, 10-year contract for work with the U.S. Army.

5. Amazing, isn't it? I had people tell me that bush** was the best
thing that ever happened to this country. And because I was doing inteviews for the ACLU on people who got arrested during the 'riot' we had prior to Shock and Awe, I was called a whole truckload of mother fuckers.

I just laugh if I happen to run into any of 'em and tell them that they OWN this horrific mess and ask which one of us was stupid.

8. It is amazing
I told someone online that the Nazis were in power again back in 2001. She laughed and asked where the ovens were.

Try telling the Iraqis that, now.

9. They're just following Bush's lead
Bush appropriated Saddam's personal pistol for himself. If you're getting the Oval Office tour and Bush likes you, he lets you see it. Why wouldn't the mercenaries from KBR do the same thing? Like they're going to be prosecuted for looting or stealing Iraq's national treasures? Come on!

Of course, in about 25 years, when the vandals come and burn the original Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, there will be enormous alligator tears from the uber patriots, wondering how our conquerors can act in such a barbarian manner.
