Rep. Evan Jenne, D-Dania Beach, took issue a suggestion that he view actor and Richard Nixon speechwriter Ben Stein's film focusing on educators and scientists who disagree with Darwin's theory of evolution.

Proponents of a bill to allow teachers to question the scientific theory of evolution have held up Stein's film as reason to support the law, which proponents say would protect teachers’ freedom of speech.

But Jenne said he wasn't going to listen to a "guy known for three things:" Saying Bueller over and over again in the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"; selling Clear Eyes to "stoners" and writing speeches for "the most corrupt president in history."

It shows us bogus security files, as if some cabal is spying on everyone. It shirks the facts. And it madly edits images to equate Darwin with Hitler, and Ben Stein with -- yes -- Ronald Reagan. Typical of all propaganda, it also distorts language.

17. Anyone ever seen "Win Ben Stein's Money"?

My hubby's a trivia buff who liked that show for the trivia and Jimmy Kimmel's jokes--he was Ben Stein's emcee and second banana. Ben Stein was the same boor he always is, and liked it when everyone referred to him as "smart", as if having a good memory for stuff necessarily equates to intelligence. Anyway, people would go on the show and try to win $5,000 by answering more trivia questions correctly than Ben Stein. What a pompous ass.

Jimmy was funny.

It was pretty good in spite of Stein. If a contestant accidentally phrased an answer in the form of a question, they made them wear a dunce cap and all the categories were double-entendres.
