How much is gas per gallon in China and India?

I hear it is their demand that is taking away the "surplus" gas and driving up the price....so how hard is it for the Chinese and the Indians to pay at the pump? How much IS gas over there? I assume the same price pressures are driving their prices through the roof? Somebody please fill me in.

Also, we spoke to a lady who has a husband working on an offshore oil rig. She stated that "they" are capping off wells right and left to keep the price up. Who knows? If there were a modicum of investigation all sorts of interesting info might gush forth......

"The Chinese government raised regulated prices of gasoline and diesel by nearly 10 percent on Nov. 1, to the yuan equivalent of $2.65 a gallon. 4. Thanks for that number. The question then arises.....why are they

being charged so little compared to US? Are there different oil companies involved that have more compassion on the Chinese?

(By the way, I am all for America getting off the petroleum teat. If we don't we are all gonna snuff it. The rest of the world must also to survive in the short term. But I don't want to lose my business because of the disappearance of tourism based on gas prices. I don't want to see our economy collapse and millions or billions suffer horribly. We should be getting off of petroleum but not having all of this greed, etc.)

Who manipulate the price of oil. But since we have your ear, maybe you can explain why the war is not being funded by the sale of Iraq oil? Who is getting the profits of the oil and are they now a member of OPEC? And if so, don't they have a say in the price of oil? Just asking since we get so little information.

Gas costs 5.34 yuan (76 cents) a liter or 20.5 yuan ($2.90) a gallon. State oil companies are barred from passing on rising crude costs to consumers, instead covering their losses out of profits from their drilling units.

Both foreign and Chinese automakers are using the Beijing show to highlight luxury sedans, muscle cars and SUVs. It opens to the public Thursday after a weekend press preview.
