McCain's healthcare plan.. "Watch your diet, walk thirty or so minutes a day"
Diabetes, heart disease... no problem.........

"Watch your diet, walk thirty or so minutes a day, and take a few other simple precautions, and you won't have to worry about these afflictions."

let him refuse all medicines as long as there is an uninsured person in the united states
if he is willing to talk to the talk, i'm sure he is willing to walk the walk, right?

after all, only bad people who don't diet and get exercise would ever get ill, and he is not a bad person, right?

let him lead by example if he would be a leader

or else let him shut the fuck up!

4. He should be the first one to volunteer to give up his health care coverage.
He's been sucking at the public teat since the day he was born. What a hypocrite.

17. Good Lord - I do not like his politics
but - he did spend over 20 years on active duty - 5 of which were as a prisoner.

I think the U.S. owes him some health care.

7. A doctor I know is serving on his health care advisory board.
I actually talked to him today about McCain's health care plan or lack of one.

He said, "He's coming around", but is currently unsure if he is going to take on the issue the way it needs to be taken on; however, he was a little impressed because when he was asked to serve, he explained that his health care positions are diametrically opposed to McCain's; however, they said they were looking for a variety of opinions.

I will be interested to see if this excellent doctor (one of the best I have ever known) is able to cause a change in McCain's plan (or lack of one).

8. This from a man who collects $58K from the
government yearly in disability benefits. He also has taxpayer-financed health care, the finest available to anybody in this country. He should be ashamed, but he isn't. Repukes know no shame when it comes to hypocrisy.

23. we're suggesting that if he believes medical care is not necessary, he set the example
i wish nothing more for senator mccain than what he wishes for me

if i were the senator and if i were running for president, my platform would include full health care access for everyone and lifetime care for all disabled, not just veterans, but for all

mccain apparently believes that i should never receive care because i was born with a genetic disorder such that i could never be allowed to serve in the armed forces

there is a basic fairness issue there

he had his health and his youth to offer his country, i never had the health to offer, does that mean i should be crapped on forever?

eating a good diet and getting proper daily exercise hasn't done anything for my health, it can't, eating the magic foods and doing the magic work-outs only works for those who don't have a real problem, he would not have cured his service injuries through eating lots of broccoli!

24. Not at all. Just saying he's advocating
a healthcare system which is basically every man for himself, while at the same time he is collecting taxpayer financed healthcare and disability. I think that's hypocritical.

Which vegetable cures getting hit by a car? Which kind of exercise is good for a brain tumor? What 'precaution' will save you from a family history of Huntington's Disease?

10. Blame the sick.
For not being loved by god.

Blame the poor for laziness.

If you are not fortunate, you are personally responsible.

After all, AIDs was god's vengeance on hemophiliacs
for their sinful ways.

14. While certainly good advice
That is not a plan by any stretch of the imagination. I wonder if McCain has heard of things called "genes" that "pass on" certain diseases to offspring?

Of course, what defines a job, what price is it worth, and why aren't we compelling our own to get educated?

20. Let's get some distinctions straight, Mr. Straight-Talker
What McCain proposed is a WELLNESS program.
Health CARE is what people who are sick need from doctors/nurses/NPs.
Health INSURANCE prevents sick people from getting health care.

That's how I see it.
