Letter carriers food drive May 10

Danvers - The National Association of Letter Carriers, in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service, the United Way and AFL-CIO, will collect non-perishable food items Saturday, May 10, for distribution to food banks, including the Danvers People to People Food Pantry.

The NALC food drive is the single largest food drive in the country. More than 830 million pounds of non-perishable food have been collected by letter carriers since initiating the annual event in 1993.

Persons wishing to participate in the food drive are asked to put non-perishable food items near their mailbox for pickup by letter carrier when delivering their mail.
