I don't have cable TV so I was wondering...
Did Bill O ask Sen. Clinton about the 'war on Christmas'? Did she 'fess up?

Did Larry ask Michael Moore what his favorite candy bar is? Snickers I bet.

I know I'm missing a lot without cable TV.

6. Really, I don't have cable.
I know where I can get a 24kbs feed of the audio of MSNBC. I listen (& watch) to CSPAN sometimes on my 'puter. That's about it.

Tonight I may watch SECRETS OF THE DEAD on PBS, an episode of CRIMINAL MINDS & an episode of LAW & ORDER, so I do watch about a dozen hours of TV a week, more during the NBA playoffs.

I don't feel like I'm missing anything, so I guess I'm not.

What makes you think I have cable TV?

9. Which things? O'Reilly's schtick? The triviality of Larry King? Those things?
Media Matters For America, the infotainment/satire on talk radio, what other people say.

I have relatives that have their TVs on all day. I hear they watch shows about re-decorating rooms & buying real estate, stuff I don't even like to do in 'real' life. It's bizarre to me.

When I did have cable I loved TCM & the old AMC. I think I paid 14 bucks for the whole deal. Now I think it's about 40 bucks, maybe more, I don't know, I throw the ads away.

I'm weak. If I did have some full-service cable or dish I'd watch way too much crap. People hurting themselves, rebuilding motorcycles & such-like.

I love my 'puter. All the best newspapers, magazines & journals. Don't know what I'd do without it.

10. I was trying to make a joke...
...and it backfired.

I pretended to believe you had to be lying because you nailed everything the media has been doing.

Next time, I promise I'll be funny.

4. You missed a great discussion from Michael Moore
and you also missed Caroline Kennedy with Michelle Obama and Suzanne Malveaux. Just seeing Caroline getting involved in politics made me happy.
