3. We had a little snow yesterday, as well
and two feet last week. There's some weird weather going around.

4. Yes, but you're in Alaska.

Actually, this is pretty normal for this time of the year here, and really looks alot worse than it is. It's not unusual for us to get April snowstorms that dump a couple of feet, which this won't even come close to (an inch or two maybe). It is going to take out most of the flowers on the trees, which are at their peak right now. :(

10. Yeah, we're in Alaska

but we usually don't get so much snow this late in the year. Last Friday was the third most snowfall on a single day in Anchorage since records have been kept here, and over a foot more than the previous record for April.

I know it's not too unusual in Colorado. The year my brother was born in Colorado Springs (1957) we had a foot or so of snow the end of May. And one other year when I lived down there, '61 or '62, I believe, there was a ton of snow on September 1, a couple of feet, if I remember right. (Actually, we lived in Woodland Park then, so there might not have been as much down in town.) Colorado's one place where you can be picnicking one day and shoveling out the next.

5. Oh dear
At least it should melt off soon.

I hope that isn't the front heading for Arkansas. We are finally having great weather-71 degrees and sunny. But tomorrow we're to have strong storms.

7. Hi from Lakewood!
Where it's starting to look like that, today. So far, it's sticking to the grass and bushes.

12. I have an appointment down the street at the hairdresser in an hour
I'm glad I got a reversible coat that's warm velor on one side and a raincoat on the other. It'll be a short walk in the wet but I'll be comfy. Almost wish I'd made the appointment for tomorrow so I could stay in and read my book.

I hope this is the last of it but I think I heard that we might get more in the next couple of days.

Stay cozy! :hi:

8. This is from a couple of days ago.

Sadly, I don't think these flowers are going to weather this very well. :(

11. Those blossoms are beautiful! Is it a flowering cherry?
Last year, we had several fruit trees planted out front facing north. Two plum, a cherry and a pear. They're all blossoming. But I don't think our baby tree blossoms will be lasting. The good thing is that we have very hardy varieties. So over the years they should thrive even if we don't get fruit. Trees do wonders.

15. Nothing so exotic.
Just an apple or a crabapple that I snapped while wandering around here. They are really lovely though.
