More U.S. troops for Afghanistan
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=355187

snip...

The Pentagon is considering increasing the total number of U.S. troops to 40,000, the highest since the invasion in 2001.

NATO, which is in charge of the international force stationed in southern Afghanistan, recently requested more troops because of increased Taliban attacks.

According to the New York Times, the additional troops are being sent by the U.S. because its European NATO allies are not providing enough.

I think NATO is rebelling

1. Occupying countries can be a real pain in the butt..
The Soviets didn't do too good in Afghanistan.

Cheney is destroying the U.S. armed forces and their equipment with his wars. Now he's ready to start some shit with Iran.

This won't end well.

3. NATO knows a hopeless and futile effort when they see it.

Particularly when they know it was initiated under fraudulent circumstances
with bogus information claimed to be reliable intel. They know what to expect
out of BushCo by now and don't want to provide any more cannon fodder for them.
