This … is CNN?
This … is CNN?
Posted May 4th, 2008 at 12:20 pm

Remember, conservative activists are convinced that CNN is unfriendly territory for Republicans. That is, except for all the ones the network keeps hiring. (via TP)

Frances Fragos Townsend will be announced tomorrow as a CNN contributor, joining former colleague Tony Snow. Townsend was assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism and is a Yankee fan.

I’m almost surprised it’s taken this long. Townsend, Bush’s former chief terrorism adviser, joins Tony Snow (conservative), J.C. Watts (conservative), and William Bennett (conservative) on the news network that conservatives believe is biased against them.

The last we heard from Townsend, she was complaining that the Bush administration had been “crippled” because its officials are “worried about getting subpoenaed.” (Apparently, Townsend believes that Congress should go back to ignoring the administration’s scandalous, sometimes criminal, behavior, so that way the president and his aides would find it much easier to go about their business without the fear of accountability.)

Indeed, Townsend has quite a history of offering insightful comments. Last fall, Townsend defended the Bush administration’s “harsh interrogation techniques” during an interview on CNN. She assured Americans that the abuse of detainees stops “if someone becomes cooperative.” (In other words, “We stop torturing when we get what we want out of the suspect.”)

1. Maybe Fox's problems are sending rats to a new ship.
Looks like they've infiltrated CNN. I don't mind, and long as they don't try to pass themselves off as "fair and balanced". I rarely watch CNN any more.

9. My daughter gets CNN and not MSNBC, so she writes me
the other day and says she thinks Hillary may be playing a game that will suck in the repub types and then turn on them when she gets in office. She'd like to see bushco get stomped. I wrote her back and told her I wish that were true but we can only go by what they tell us. So far she has not convinced me that she doesn't leans heavily toward the right and especially in the area of world affairs. Wants to prove how tough she is, like bush. She seems to agree with McCain only with slight clarifications and trash Obama instead. I am not willing to take that chance. She once had my admiration and support, not now. Really, why did she complain about sniper fire? It wasn't necessary, I felt she was playing us. This by itself is not that big a deal, but she does this in other less obvious areas. So much for watching CNN. This has been going on for some time. When they put Wolfie in a high priority time slot is when it seemed to quit being a little bit impartial and more like a classy Fox channel. They have a subtle way of belittling Obama and throwing a few bones to Hillary in hopes that McCain can beat Hillary. Who knows? Ugh

3. yet another reason not to watch conservative noise natterings.
I just love how the repukes whine about the liberal media, hoping to distract people from noticing who really is in charge and where the spin really is. at that, at least, they do a remarkable job.

4. Huffington Post article on this move by CNN
"And what better source of objective, insightful analysis than a former Homeland Security Adviser to the President? Witness this gem of intelligence insight, where Townsend explains that she doesn't know whether al-Qaida was in Iraq prior to the Iraq war, because she wasn't at the briefing (it seems like a lot of officials missed that meeting). Or how about this nugget of nuanced punditry, where Townsend claims Al-Qaida may try to disrupt the 2008 elections, even while admitting there is "no specific intelligence" that supports the idea. Of course, since "may" just means "possible," then Townsend's anaylsis is correct, just like the idea that Snow and Townsend may provide unbiased commentary to the American discourse."

5. Nazis , Bushies and other mentally similar person ALWAYS believe the media is biased against them
Then they go out and create the very nightmare they supposedly cursed. Said nightmare is OK as long as it is wielded by THEM against their enemies, so they go out and create a Nazi Media, a Bushie Media

Because of this kind of incessant and repetitious programming of Nazis and Bushies, they will ALWAYS believe the media is against them, even when it is fully controlled by them.

Let's perform a little thought experiment. Imagine it's Germany 1938 (which in many ways our current nation IS) and you are reading the German newspapers. Page after page of praise for the German Bush and the German Bushies. Occasionally, some article, either by design of timid "resistors" working in German newsrooms or simply the law of averages asserting itself even over Nazi/Bushie intimidation (one violent, one non-violent...for the moment).

What do you think all those "German Dittoheads" though upon reading those tiny droplets in an ocean of Bushie Fawning? Why, how terrible and evil and liberal the media was for "constantly" slurring the Fuhrer, of course!

Even though objectively, the newspaper that day was wall-to-wall praise for German Bushler with one or two tiny exceptions, the Nazi can feel no other way about it.

The Bushies, especially their followers, are mentally similar if not identical to the Nazis.

http://home.cc.umanitoba.ca/~altemey/ (this is not hyperbole in the least, and you should read this link to see the truth of that)

Therefore, one can easily predict the Bushie Followers' reaction in a similar situation, which we are close to having here in Imperial Amerika, media-wise.

Bushies, Nazis and ANYONE who has given themselves over to totalitarianism (whether they recognize it or not, most don't) will have a similar reaction.

Why? It's how they were programmed by billions of dollars of targeted and repetitious propaganda.

Never forget, as in Nazi Germany, at least 30% of our population as been essentially driven mad, and will accept any any ANY atrocity from the hands of the Amerikan Hitler, Bush. They are pointed at the other 70% of us like a loaded gun, just like back in nazi Germany, although ur Bushies have not yet been given "permission by authority" to "form the posse", so to speak.

When they are given said permission, probably after the Bushies hit us again like they did on 9/11, look out. Things will move swiftly after that.

They're exposing themselves more and more. People know what's going on and they sure aren't helping either their or Bush's ratings.
