What I find really amusing about the "tax holiday" that is proposed...
given the time, that this god awful stupid ass this holiday (if it ever goes into effect, god help us all), the price of gas will continue to rise.

So for example: june 1st. the average price across the nation is what, $3.60? roughly. So "holiday" kicks in, the price drops a grand, 18.4%. So now the national average is $3.42, roughly.

Given the nature of the price rise recently, the tax holiday "windfall" will be erased in about
2 1/2 weeks. Not only that, but come september, the price of gas will, no doubt, have eclipsed that reduction and will have added much much more to that amount.

Then, boom, party is over. The tax kicks back in.

So to recap

May 31st: $3.60

24 hours later...

June 1st: $3.42

June 30th: $3.60

August 31st: $3.75 - $3.90

24 hours later...

September 1st: $3.92 - $4.08

let me ask you something now, who is saving money and who is making money on this colossally stupid ass fucking jerk of an idea?

2. Irrelevant argument. Gas prices have already peaked for 2008. Seriously.

And could you get a Humvee for me? Not one of them wimpy H2s or, God forbid, an H3. I want an H1 limo. In school-bus yellow. C'mon. Be a pal!

6. Like I asked in another thread
How much does a new tire and rim cost anyways? Or what is the cost when your local bridge goes out and 30 people die?

This plan is monumentally republicanesque stupid.

Thankfully the Dems have enough of a majority that if it were to actually be put forward it would get smacked down so fast you would think that it was national healthcare.

9. Your math is correct, but your symbol is in error...it's 18 cents, not 18 percent
