What is the deal with the US bombing Iran ?
I continue to hear talk about this here and there. Each time this comes up it is ramped up and each time it seems more and more likely to happen.

I know this has been going one for year now and please don't tell me one of the candidates for president will prevent this, I am not buying that, not one of them will stop this.

I also don't buy that this talk is just to keep the fear up until after the elections so all the economic issues land on the Dems. There is no avoiding this no matter who lands in the whitehouse.

I am really of the mindset that there won't be elections or the Bush admin has any intention of leaving office, not after all they have done in the last 7 years.

I am not a tin foil hat sort of guy. The way I see it is , if they can get away with either letting 9/11 happen of having a huge part in it and they can allow NOLA to sit as it has all this time and they did attack Iran then they are capable of anything and do have time to still pull this off. They have so far gotten away with everything and have done just what they wanted and now they are getting the funds once again for the Iraq occupation.

Who's to stop them, we can't even get one issue addressed or get enough people together to even put out a small brush fire.

1. It's interesting how the entire Iran/nuclear capabilities issue
has disappeared since the NIE, and now it's all about the sending insurgents across into Iraq, or providing weapons for the Iraqi insurgents, or whatever the hell they're saying now.

They are determined to do it and I'm not sure anyone can stop them. More "by the people" in action. :eyes:

2. IMO: With each escalation, the bu$h regime gets closer to its goal
The goal of attacking Iran and expanding the war in the Middle East to possibly include the entire region.
All in the interest of our so called friends in region.

4. I can't for the life of me figure out what they hope to gain by such an action.
I could see it for oil, but they fucked up that opportunity in Iraq -- what makes them think they'd be successful in Iran?

God, they're a bunch of sick fucks.
