I am not sure what to make of this : "Sub teacher claims fired for 'wizardry'"
"LAND O' LAKES, Fla., May 6 (UPI) -- A former substitute teacher in Land O' Lakes, Fla., claims he was fired by the school district because he was "accused of wizardry."

Jim Piculas said Pat Sinclair, who is in charge of substitute teachers for the Pasco County School District, called him to say the district would no longer be using his services after he performed a disappearing-toothpick magic trick while teaching at Rushe Middle School, the Tampa (Fla.) Tribune reported Tuesday."

2. Good thing he didn't do his disappearing sandwich trick. He would
have been burned at the stake.

Florida is insane.

I wonder what they would have done if he had said, "Hey, I wrote a linking book...."

9. Oh fer God's Sake! If you can't understand the need to protect
children in our schools from Witches, Wizards, and Sorcerers, I just don't know if there's anything I can say to you. What if he would have summoned a dragon! You OK with that? Honestly, what's the matter with you? We're lucky we still have those children. He could have easily turned them into newts and frogs. People just gotta WAKE THE FUCK UP!

I'm just glad there's SOMEBODY in our schools that actually CARES about our children and has the courage to stand between them and the denizens of darkness.

11. but that's why we must teach Abjuration, including Exorcism, in schools
this way the children will have the knowledge to protect themselves whenever demons and elemental spirits are summoned from the void.

all the schools want to teach anymore is Artifice, Kinetics, Alchemy, and Druidic Life magicks. sure they are useful, but do they teach the acolytes how to undo their own spells or counter those of others? no, and that's a real problem. and don't even get me started on Illusionist, Music, and Dance schools of magick; thankfully we've been "underfunding" these "Art programs" so that they are weaker than before, but think of the harm already done!

we are sorely ill prepared if we are again invaded by the Underdark...

12. Thank You, thank you, for your awareness..
Maybe the OP would better understand the usefulness of Exorcism and Abjuration in the lower grades if she had the pleasant experience of dealing with outraged parents when their child is sent home in jar with holes punched in the lid.

:hi:
