McCain's Best Election Strategy Should Be Bush's Impeachment
For all of those who think that Bush's impeachment would somehow divide the country and lead to a Republican victory in November I have to ask this question, why haven't Republican's tossed Bush under the bus if it would lead to a McCain victory? Bush can't provide any more service anymore, he is the lamest of lame ducks - he raises funds to be sure, but compared to 4 more years in the White House how much could he be worth? So the real question is why aren't Republican's clamoring for Impeachment?

1. I wonder what where the incriminating photos, Bush used
to get those 199 congressmen to stand with him yesterday? Otherwise they would be using garlic and holy water to keep him away.

2. The domestic spying program
has everybody in fear of what will be exposed about them if they oppose Bush too vigorously.

it's any kind of threat to their status quo.

The Republican elite don't want change--it threatens their wealth and power, and thrusts them under the spotlight of accountability. They won't throw McCain under the bus as long he's willing to replace Georgie as their new marionette.

You're right--McCain can't win without disconnecting from the Bush monarchy. The only sure way to do that is call them out for their sins, but he can't do that because he aided and abetted them. You say that Bush is "the lamest of lame ducks"; I say McCain is a lame duck already. Senator McLameDuck--THAT'S PERFECT!
