Just imagine: For a family of four; $40,000.

Got a kid? Put $10,000 toward college.
Got a gas-guzzling car? Put $10,000 toward a Prius.
Need to buy a house? Put $10,000 toward the down-payment.
Got inefficient insulation and using too much gas or electric? Put $10,000 toward a greener house with solar panels.
Need retirement? Put $10,000 toward a 401K.
Got health problems? Put $10,000 toward medical costs.
Got debt? Put $10,000 toward paying off credit cards.

While we all wait for our "hush money" (Economic Stimulus package), think about what we could have done if the money wasted on the Iraq war had been divided up and given to Americans.

2. Not to mention the extra cost we're paying for higher gas prices
from all the turmoil and world uncertainty.

Not to mention all the lost wages from jobs lost due to consumer spending cuts because of the higher prices for gas and food and everything else that has been driven up by this war.

Not to mention all the money we'll be spending in the future rebuilding our military and caring for our wounded vets.

The costs of this debacle will be felt in so many heretofore unknown ways for so many decades to come.

edited for spelling...
