Seems like BahBwah WAHWAH is getting away with Judith MILLER's, uh, fraternization problem

("Points" will be labeled "POINT!1" for the sake of my loyal band of flamers who frequently claim I *make* no points and am otherwise obscure. Responding to those flamers would entail REPEATING every sentence in the o.p.)

The Judith MILLER episode exposed the problem of media people's "closeness" or fraternization (whether sexual, golf-buddy, financial, withholding/releasing choice information, or more) with their sources--------POINT!1 Yet, she paid a price, whether her jail time and/or loss of a job were specifically related to the closeness or not.

And yet here comes one BahBwah WAHWAH, coolly vomiting her affairs with an African American Rethug senator and with at least one media boss. And she is *not* being awarded any kind of Scarlet Letter, whether "A" or any other, and in fact is appearing to be enhancing her stature by some sort of who'd-da-thunk-it hipster coolness--------POINT!1 Most of those years her image was of being something of a whiner, how all those mean men were so mean to her, plus coming across as that lightweight she claimed not to be: The lisp and the Tree Questions being more noteworthy than her interviews.

There she is in interview after interview (I've only watched one), and in that one with G.E. RUSSERT, she coolly, callously, bloodlessly described her failures at marriage, AND the adultery(s). The word "adultery" is used advisedly, because another facet of her image was of some kind of creepy asexuality, with which she assumed some kind of moral authority over her interviewees, confronting them with their peccadilloes, never having any of her own.

It might be said that the two specific affairs were not with SOURCES, as such, since one senator would not have lots and lots of information on the many, many subjects BahBwah touched upon, although the affair with the boss might directly affect her assignments, freedom, power, and competition with peers-------P0INT!1

Despite her endless list of earth-shattering interviews, the list being the main focus of her appearances, she never seemed to be that much of a heavyweight, and now seems to be taken more seriously for her sexual escapades, while the Judith MILLER angle is brushed off and under the rug------RE-POINT!1

In lieu of a forthcoming signature line, here's THIS: A *****POX**** on flamers!1 BeGONE!1 May you drift, pale and forever, in Hades!1 You won't get the time back you spend in flaming here---HaHAH!1
