Where in the hell are all of the McCain supporters?
I have met a couple of people who kind of support McCain, but that's it.

I live in an area that is full of Republican voters and I have yet to see a McCain yard sign or bumper sticker!

Are they ashamed of their candidate or something?

I know I would be...

1. For them, he is a candidate who evokes the response
"I'll vote for him, but I won't send him money or work for him."

2. I haven't found one yet
My boss told me he wouldn't vote for Obama because "he scares me", but then in the next breath said that "my guy" dropped out. I suggested Bob Barr and the Libertarians, and he liked that idea. So there's another Republican who won't vote McCain.

4. I'm the 'ugly duckling' of my family
I know they will all be voting McCain. They will make their usual futile effort to convince me to do the same. It promises to be an uncomfortable procession of holiday gatherings this year, and while I guess I'm used to it, it is going to be different this time. When I am forced to listen to their bigoted views on race and gender, it will be difficult not to explode into anger. I think I will have to practice keeping my head before I fly in for a visit. They may sometimes be ignorant, but they are still my family.

5. Few of my extended Republican family like him.
They don't dislike him, but seem to be suffering a form of Republican burn out. Many will just be sitting this one out. A few will vote for the Dem. Only one or two I think are likely to vote for him.

Most wanted either Huckabee or Romney.
