4. Sure...
...but the old people in Ohio and Pennsylvania are gonna decide the race. They don't like gays and since both states are very Catholic, abortion will continue to be an issue. The gas prices are due to Greenspan's mismanagement of the money supply for too many years, and it will have to work itself out.

Even Bill Bradley will tell you that control of our economy is now in foreign hands. Finance is global now (has been for awhile) and there's very little the Feds can do anymore. Think LIBOR.

Blue collar old folks don't care about racial equity, either. WE DO, but they don't. Ohio and Pennsylvania are the only places I know of where the N word is still used on the regular basis.

Education? Great...but the old people don't want to pay for it and they tend to get what they want. Ask Ohio's new governor about that.

Reducing the debt? Yeah! Hell, yeah.

Alternative energy? Yeah, and they're already working on it.

Foreign relations? Not from Obama. Foreign policy is a Republican strength. Has been for decades.

Iran? Yeah...well, that's also out of our control. If they get a nuke, we'll have to do something about it. Politically speaking, there's no alternative.

Bush has done a wonderful job of maintaining foreign relations over the last eight years.

Exactly how do Republicans fare better at foreign policy that Democrats? As far as I can tell the GOP's motto for foreign relations is "We Hate Everyone".
