These are responses in a thread about Nancy Pelosi applauding the decision by the California Supreme Court regarding same-sex marriage:

Liberals keep proving that they’re completely clueless and out of touch with Americans. Pelosi is an embarrassment to the human race.

In my junior English class I just finished showing A Man For All Seasons. I see the coming parallel: all Christians, especially Catholics, are in the scope of the secular humanist rifle. And many of us may end up in "courts of inquiry" because:

We will not bend to the marriages!

“Californians can take pride” in abnormal behavior? Great.

Boy, nothing quite like a rationalization to get through the night.

When abnormalities and abominations are considered normal, the door to Hell just gets a little closer.

God save us.

“Today is a significant milestone for which all Californians can take pride.”

That should have been: “Today is a significant mistake for which all Californians can now dread.”

Sodom and Gomorrha.

Hmmmmm along with marriage can divorce be far behind or are homosexual couples dreaming they will remain married forever?

Has anyone anticipated that legal skirmish such as division property rights and who gets the children of the couple?

I guess they don’t think beyond one tippy toe at a time.

This will not be the end of the issue. This is the opening the gay activists have been looking for.

In Mass. there is a state law that bans out of state people from getting married if their home state wouldn’t recognize same. I don’t think Calif. has such a law. So out of state homosexuals are going to come to Calif. get legally married in Calif. and then go file lawsuits in their home states to get the marriage recognized there.

And the next step will be to go to federal court, to force the federal government to recognize same sex marriage.

It’s coming to federal court, it’s just a matter of time.

Romans 1:25-27 tells us that same-sex sexual relationships are a consequence of idolatry. In other words, such relationships are a consequence of disobeying the 1ST COMMANDMENT, a major aspect of the GREATEST COMMANDMENT, to love the jealous God with all your being.
Homosexuals need to keep in mind, however, that the good news of the gospel is not about how God despises same-sex sexual relationships. In fact, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 indicates that certain members of that church had been slaves to such relationships but had been cleansed in Jesus' name. So these former homosexuals had evidently repented and accepted God's grace to straighten their lives out.

15. in fact, they already do
California has had civil unions for several years, which include adjucated separation, property settlements and custody. it's just that now they are called divorces.

Dilbert San Diego is right though, this will bring a DOMA challenge, if the November Amendment drive fails (you know one is coming, this is California). Even if the state disallows non residents from marrying in California (and under this ruling, that would have to the ALL non residents, not just gays and lesbians) there are simply more people in CAlifornia, the likelihood that a gay couple would marry in CA and then move is much higher than in Mass, simply because of numbers. and no one thinks DOMA is constitutional, I mean no one. it was a stop-gap to allow states to resolve this themselves in lieu of a probably Federal Constitional Amendment, which most have done (badly, of course, but they're states, most things are bad) I just don't see how DOMA can withstand a 'full faith and credit' challenge.

That's funny. These people won't even get off their ass to fight in Bushes war they all believe in, yet I'm suppose to believe gay marriage is a cause so important they're willing to fight to prevent it?
