Our local anti-war group finally got some much deserved press!!

For some perspective, last Sunday we had almost 400 people at a Mother's Day rally for peace in the middle of the red state hell suburbs here. And we got no media coverage. Then this writer wrote an opinion piece which mentions there are "only a dozen or so" at our regular weekly vigils in the center of town and our paper prints it!

While we are grateful for the press, we question their choice of coverage. :mad:

I almost wish we would have another attack and it would be on you, then maybe you would get the message. If we don't stay after them then they will be after us. I live in L.A., where there are hundreds of people who are out every weekend protesting in some form or fashion.

But, to do it in the face of such hostility is brave indeed.

Your courage to stand up to the more ignorant in your community honors the sacrifices of the young sent to die in the Middle East.

Remember, there was only one man standing in front of the tanks in Tiananmen Square.

It reminds me of the internets nerds in Anonymous who are protesting the $cientology cult.

Don't know if you have heard about them, but they organized a world-wide protest in February and hundreds of people participated.

The most encouraging ones were the protests held in Minnesota (among the other freezing places) and the one solitary guy who protested in Japan!
