Kennedy "conscious, talking, joking with family."

BOSTON - A spokeswoman for Sen. Edward Kennedy says he is conscious and talking to family after he suffered a seizure in his Cape Cod home and was flown to a Boston hospital.

The 76-year-old Massachusetts Democrat fell ill at his home Saturday morning and was rushed to a local hospital. He later was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital to determine the cause of the seizure.

Spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said he is "conscious, talking, joking with family."

His wife, children and niece Caroline Kennedy are among those with him at the hospital.

1. That's great news! I hope he gets better soon.
But just in case (god forbid) he does not, can we name the Cape Wind Farm after him?

11. Good One!
However, if the Senator takes a turn for the worse, your comments will be very, very tacky.

6. He had a procedure a while ago....
That increased the risk of having something like this. That's what I recall reading. Does anyone remember more about it?

18. Was that it?
Because I remember being startled that a procedure that made things better could leave him so endangered. But it's my emotional reaction I recall, not the facts themselves.
