I have gotten several things from one of the listed apparel vendors - All American Clothing (www.allamericanclothing.com) - and can definitely vouch for their quality. It's crazy, too, how we really don't have to pay that much to support our economy, and in fact, most of their products are way cheaper than the top-brand crap made elsewhere.

The Whirlpool Corporation’s Marion Division was named the Outstanding Employer of the Year.

Job and Family Services and the company worked together to hire 2,500 people last year.

The award is sponsored by the Governor’s office and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services as a means of recognizing excellence in building Ohio ’s job preparedness network.

Nominees came from across the state and Whirlpool’s nomination was submitted by Harry Simmons, workforce development administrator and Ron Meade, the manager of the Marion Connections One Stop Center.

Whirlpool's Wide-Ranging Optimization

• Clyde, Ohio: Consolidated North American top-loading clothes-washer at a 3,000-employee plant.
• Findlay, Ohio: Expanded production of dishwashers at a 2,000-employee plant.
• Evansville, Ind.: Expanded production of new refrigerator models at a 2,300-employee plant.
• LaVergne, Tenn.: Expanded production of a new line of room air-conditioners and built-in refrigerators at a1,100-employee plant.
• Marion, Ohio: Increased production of clothes dryers at a 2,800-employee plant.
• Oxford, Miss.: Expanded production of new cooking products at a 500-employee plant.
• Tulsa, Okla.: Expanded production of new cooking products at a 1,500-employee plant.

21. All of my work clothing
is made in the United States. Thought at the risk of being flamed, they are made in the Oregon State Penitentary at Pendlton Oregon. Little on the pricy side compared to others, but virtually indestructable. Nothing fancy, just well made work clothes. Product line is called Prison Blues.

24. InSinkerator Garbage Disposal
Had to replace my old Kenmore and replaced it with an Insinkerator-Made in the USA! It works great!
