How could this question be answered a simple yes or no?
I was at the CNN website and their poll question of the day is, "Would Mike Hucklebee make a good running mate for John McCain?"

Well I'm not sure how to answer a simple yes or no to that question. If I wanted to make a good shit sandwich, those sound like pretty good ingredients. If I was one of the "left behind" cult and wanted to bring on Armageddon, why that sounds like a good way to git 'er done!

So given only the choice of a yes or no, how in the world would you answer that question and why?

1. The question was probably directed toward people
who actually give a shit. We don't.

5. No, but the thought is pretty scary.
When you think of what the Republican ticket could be this year, especially now that they're in a panic, I'm starting to wonder just what their ticket WILL look like. Odd we haven't heard any gossip on that score.

8. Curious, isn't it?
I suspect the Rethuglican powers that be aren't too thrilled with any of their options and are waiting to make a countermove once the Dem ticket has been decided. Seems to me if they really wanted Huckabee they would have offered him the spot by now. McCain has all the charisma and energy of a doorstop so he'll need some help on that score. I think they're trying to grab someone younger and more energetic but for the life of me I can't think of any prominent GOPers who might fit their bill. Huckabee's a populist but dumber than dirt.

11. The GOP convention is about a week after the Democratic one
Do you really think they'll wait that long? Would the GOP really gain anything by having McCain out there campaigning by himself all summer long, either putting people to sleep or boring them into a coma?

10. I've heard rumor (!) that Huckabee is pretty high on their VP list.
I assumed that's why they had the poll -- to find out how well that would go over with McCain supporters.

You should be proud of yourself (and relieved) you were unable to answer it.

4. For us, perhaps

While Mothafuckabee brings the religious right back to McCain, he is a pile of shit waiting to explode. I think Obama/anyone would be able to pull enough out of newspaper article to tarnish their reputations that they would never approach the White House.

However, Huckleberry brings quite a few people with him, which could draw potential Obama voters back to the GOP, which is why I would say no. And because of this, many Republicans would probably say yes. But I say no.

I'm still holding out for someone like Cheney which we can just rape in a debate...

12. And as much as he makes us retch,
he can be charming and amusing. Might appeal to those who think McCain isn't conservative enough and warm the hearts of others who might have just opted to skip voting.

I don't want him on their ticket either.
