Venezuela accuses US of air violation

Venezuela has accused the United States of violating its air space.

Authorities have said they have proof of a US navy plane overflying Orchila, a Venezuelan island in the Caribbean.

Caracas says recordings were made on the weekend of conversations between air traffic control in Caracas and the US pilot.

The pilot supposedly responded and identified himself as being on a US Navy training mission.

1. Is there anything of importance on that island? Such as refineries or military outposts or research?

Then again, if the US was interested in Orchila, it would simply use satellites in orbit to peer into Venezuela.
