"Patriotism"=easy, good citizenship=incredibly difficult and getting harder

"Patriotism" has become cheap, vulgar, and made in China. That on-again, off again flag pin is an easy target for the m$m and the all-too easily led that they pander to. Wear it, you are a fine American; simple as that. Never mind that it was made in China.

Don't wear it--because it offends your sartorial taste, don't want to buy Chinese-made goods, you forgot it, you were a Boy/Girl Scout and respect flag protocol--the utter SHAME.

Slap a ribbon on your Hummer's bumper--God bless you! What a brave patriot you are! Don't wear your concern on your car's ass but protest cuts in spending on veteran's benefits, send a care package, drive your neighbor to the polls, protest the country's involvement, try to use less petroleum so we have less need for the people who are killing us over there (while we, of course, kill them too), well--how dare you NOT put a flag on your house this Memorial Day, you Godless liberal?

"Patriotism" fits conveniently on a bumper. Citizenship is a constant daily struggle that overworked, overtaxed, tired, worried, just-let-me-hold-onto-my-house/car/family Americans struggle to find the time for.

So for those who:
*biked to work
*picked up their dog's poo
*drove a neighbor to the doctor
*reduced/reused/recycled
*eked out enough for a donation, volunteer work, of just a tune-up
*expressed an opinion
*have a loved one in harm's way

*YOUR SUGGESTION HERE

Thank you. :patriot:
