1. I'm quite optimistic
that Trent Lott's senate seat will go (D) in Mississippi. A former (D) governor is running and the race is now a tossup. I think the Dems will pick up more then two or three and I also believe the (R's) are smoking dope if they think they can get Mary Landrieu's seat.

Mississippi now has three (D's) to one (R) in the house. I doubt that will change in November.

3. Leading in the Polls
Edited on Tue May-20-08 07:24 PM by erpowers
According to wikipedia.org she is leading in the polls. I think some people are wondering what will happen with New Orleans. However, it looks like she is going to keep her seat. My picks for Senate pick up were Virginia, maybe New Mexico, and North Carolina. However, it seems that is it possible that the Democrats can also pick up Texas in that the Democratic candidate there is only behind by about three percentage points which is within the margin of error for most polls.

2. Arkansas 3rd won't be picked up
because the Democratic Party ISN'T RUNNING A CANDIDATE!!!! I'm disgusted and flabbergasted, as they have run candidates in '04 and '06. So don't kick me out of DU, folks, but I have to support the Green Party Congressional candidate, because there's no other opposition to the repuke conman in office.
