Suggestion For Gift For Sen. Kennedy
Instead of flowers for Senator Kennedy, I'm wondering if we shouldn't make a gift in his honor to The Brain Tumor Society. They're based in Massachusetts, and have a five-star rating from Charity Navigator. Their website is http://www.tbts.org/ and they have an on-line donation page that you can give a tribute or memorial gift to.

What do you think?

3. What About Students Across America Sending Him Get Well Cards?
Home-made ones? He signed a book he wrote for students, and sent it to my class ("My Senator And Me")? I already know my students will send him cards. Any other teachers out there want to join me?

7. cure brain tumors now!!
I lost my brother Ted on 30 January 2008 after knowing he had brain cancer for a month. His first seizure was on Christmas Eve 2007. He had an aggressive cancer, had the tumor removed, and returned home for a few great days with friends and family then collapsed due to a rupture that caused severe brain damage. Ted was 53 years old when he died.

The first week of May our family walked in the DC walk for brain tumor research. A perfect gift for Ted Kennedy would be to donate to a research organization to further the treatment and ultimately the cure for brain cancer. It is an ugly disease that needs our attention to improve the odds for everyone that falls victim to it!

I wish Ted K. and his family well.
