2. Conyers isn't Leahy

IMO he will do a bit more than huff and puff and turn pink with indignation and threaten to write a "strongly worded letter".

I believe Conyers actually has the spine to do something about rove. Plus he has people on his committee that are more pissed off about rove than he is. Even if he were to waver some of his committee members would pull him back on track.

I don't actually believe anything will happen while this gang of incompetent thieves is still in office. This process will take some time which is probably just as well since bush would probably just pardon rove. Hell, he may do that preemptively anyway but at least the committee can get some of the facts out.
