Wouldn't you have greater respect for those that chose Memorial Day
to post and support a recent thread denigrating the memory of people that died in this countries service if, instead of hiding behind anonymity here, they instead took that message to closest Veterans Cemetery and voiced it there?

1. what would be the point of talking to tombstones?
oh, you mean the loved ones of the deceased? well, they're not likely going to have an objective reaction to the thesis of that thread, so your hope is what? that those who dislike our country's militarism will experience shame at hurting another's feelings, or that the loved ones will beat those voicing their opinions?

we must de-link the policy from the victims of that policy before any discussion can take place.

3. Considering tht I had a brother die in 1951 in Korea
saving what has become one of the worlds most vibrant nations from what has become one of the worlds most oppressive, I would consider the beating as warranted.

5. Actually I believe that an individual
getting their ass kicked for deliberately "offensive speech" is simply justice. Of course hiding behind a keyboard to deliver this speech is hardly showing the courage of their convictions.

6. Depends which thread you're even talking about.
This is the Internet and you don't need to make such a vague reference for those who may have missed it - come out and be specific.
