The McCain hecklers, GOP plants or not?
I just saw the incident a little while ago on the news and it looked pretty suspicious. First of all, they were chanting "Endless War", at which I just had to say WTF--do you want endless war or are you against endless war?

Secondly, right afterwards, old Johnny comes strolling out to the microphone with a big old smile on his face, as the audience chants "John McCain" to the same cadence as the hecklers.

Thirdly, he uses the opportunity to peddle his "I'll never surrender" bullshit to the cameras.

What did you all think?

4. Um....what?
Count the syllables in "endless war" and "John McCain." See any similarities?

I mean, people confront the guy, appropriately, and now they're plants?

Say, did we ever land a man on the Moon?

6. Yup, and it seems like legit protest to me
Which is a good thing. If they are plants, then they're just playing to the guy's base, who are going to be drunk or high on painkillers
on election day anyway.

8. Maybe you're right. He did have a classic guilty grin on his face.
I couldn't quite put my finger on it but it was as if he knew that some BS was going down.

10. You can't trust what the GOP-controlled media is peddling...
...someone posted a story about a fundraiser for Old Man McCain that couldn't get enough people to attend so they went from a large public venue to private residences. Then later in the same week (maybe within days) it was revealed he met with an Indian, a Mormon, and a homosexual (thank you fark!)

Everyone else in the post laughed and thought it was funny that McCain couldn't get enough people to attend. Maybe it's just me, but what I saw was a fund raiser for a guy in bed with lobbyists swimming in money going from reporters and their cameras are welcome to secret and no one will ever know who was there, nor will there ever be pictures of McCain with any of them.

I cannot verify what happened with the protesters at the McCain rally (we may need to see if any of these people show up on someone's staff) but this falls in nicely with the GOP's new talking point that the GOP is "changing".

IOW, I smell a rat.

11. Also, he gave an odd wink, after he said, "I will never surrender in Iraq, my friends."
