Poll: Majority of Californians oppose overturning court’s gay marriage decision
Translation: Fundie freaks, fuck off!

from ThinkProgress:

Poll: Majority of Californians oppose overturning court’s gay marriage decision.»

Two weeks after the California Supreme Court overturned the state’s gay marriage ban, a new Field Survey finds that 51 percent of registered Californian voters oppose a conservative-backed effort to “put a state constitutional amendment on the ballot in November” prohibiting gay marriage. Reuters reports:

The poll found that in recent decades a growing number of Californians have approved allowing same-sex couples to marry, with 51 percent of those polled now approving, up from 44 percent in 2006 and 30 percent in 1985.

2. If Obama brings out a massive number of young people in November
(young people in California tend to be very supportive of gay marriage) the ballot intiative against gay marriage should easily be defeated.
