According to a CQ analysis of Senate votes on issues President Bush expressed “an explicit, stated opinion,” Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) voted with President Bush 100 percent of the time in 2008 and 95 percent of the time in 2007. Despite his record, McCain’s supporters try to deny that a McCain presidency would be a third Bush term in terms of pushing similar policies. Recently, the campaign has gone to great lengths to avoid being seen with Bush.

Can we really survive a third term of George Bush?

1. IMHO, absolutely the strongest argument against a McCain presidency
Essentially, the argument is "Look what 8 years of a Bush administration has given us (cite your own bullet point list here: an unwinnable, costly war in Iraq, a depressed economy, ruinous budget deficits, significant job uncertainty and job losses, a decline in real income for most Americans, a collapse in the residential real estate industry, outrageously poor government response to national disasters (Katrina), shockingly high gas prices with no leadership on a rational energy policy, and a loss of U.S prestige throughout most of the rest of the world. Want to continue the policies of the man who was most responsible for this mess? Then vote for John McCain, who voted with President Bush 100% of the time during 2007 (?) and ___% of the time during the last 8 years."

And end with:

"If you want change, you have to vote for change. Vote in 2008!"
