Long but fascinating video:

Katrina was hardly the first epic disaster to reveal the racial divide in this country. Check out this episode of "When Weather Changed History" from The Weather Channel. I had heard about the Mississippi floods of 1927, of course; but not like this. And people wonder where some in the black community, like Jeremiah Wright, are coming from:

click on the "1927 flood" link.

I am hearing this story told this way for the first time on the friggin' weather channel?
